Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Shipping costs and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on the destination address, package weight, and shipping method. Customs & Duties: International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, inspection fees, or local delivery surcharges imposed by the destination country. These fees are the sole responsibility of the customer, and Words Warm Wise Worlds is not liable for any additional charges incurred during customs processing. Delivery Delays: Transit times for international orders may be extended due to customs clearance, local carrier delays, or seasonal holidays. We cannot guarantee delivery timelines for international shipments. Restricted Countries: We do not ship to countries with strict trade restrictions or prohibited shipping routes (as updated by U.S. export regulations). 4. Order Tracking & Confirmation Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email (sent to the email address used at checkout) containing a unique tracking number and carrier information. Allow 24–48 hours for the carrier to update tracking status after shipment confirmation. If you do not receive a tracking number within 48 hours of your order being marked as “shipped,” please contact us immediately. 5. Package Issues: Lost, Damaged, or Missing Damaged Items Notify us within 5 business days of the delivery date. You must provide clear photos of the damaged item(s) and the original shipping packaging (including all labels and seals). We will review the claim and arrange for a replacement of the damaged item(s) or a full refund for the damaged portion of the order, at our discretion. Shipping fees for replacement orders may be waived for valid damage claims. Lost or Stolen Packages Claims for lost/stolen packages must be filed within 10 business days of the carrier’s marked “delivered” date. Words Warm Wise Worlds will assist in filing a claim with the carrier, but we are not responsible for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier. If the carrier’s claim is unsuccessful, the customer will not be eligible for a replacement or refund. Missing Items If your order arrives with missing items, notify us within 7 business days of delivery with your order number and a detailed description of the missing items. We will verify the shipment and reship the missing items free of charge (for U.S. domestic orders) or provide a refund for the missing items (for international orders). 6. Address Changes & Errors You are responsible for providing an accurate, complete, and valid shipping address at checkout. Words Warm Wise Worlds cannot be held liable for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If an address error is identified before your order is shipped, we will correct the address free of charge. Once the order has shipped, address changes are not permitted, and any additional shipping costs (e.g., return shipping, re-delivery fees) incurred due to incorrect addresses will be the customer’s responsibility. 7. Local Pickup (San Antonio, TX) Local in-store pickup is available for orders placed through our website. To select pickup: Choose “Local Pickup” as your shipping method at checkout. Please present a valid photo ID and your order number at pickup. 8. Backorders & Pre-Orders For backordered items, we will notify you via email of the expected restock date. If the restock date is delayed beyond 30 days, you may choose a full refund or a replacement item of equal or lesser value. Pre-orders are charged in full at the time of purchase. Pre-order items will ship as soon as they are in stock (we will provide an estimated ship date at checkout), and you will be notified of any delays. 9.
